- Abstract
- "Patients with highly active relapsing-remitting multiple sclerosis (RRMS) may benefit from early aggressive therapy instead of the escalation approach. Here we describe the outcome of a patient withhighly active RRMS (two relapses in the year after onset and a few gadolinium-enhancing lesions onbrain MRI) treated with natalizumab as a first-line treatment. Over 2 years of natalizumab treatment,no evidence of disease activity was observed. An early aggressive approach may improve treatmentoutcome in patients with highly active RRMS.
