- Abstract
- COVID-19 is a virus that primarily causes respiratory illness. However, there is increasing evidence regarding neuropathic presentation of the virus. Neurologic symptoms have been reported to range from headache, ageusia, and anosmia to encephalitis, myelitis, and cerebrovascular disease. Here, we report a patient with acute onset parkinsonism with bilateral abnormalities of the basal ganglia after asymptomatic COVID-19 infection who was successfully treated with high-dose corticosteroid.
