Abstract
"Progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML) is a fatal demyelinating disease caused by the reactivation of human polyomavirus JC in immunosuppressed patients. We report a systemiclupus erythematosus (SLE) patient diagnosed with definite PML after titration of mycophenolatemofetil based on characteristic MRI findings. After all, the patient eventually went through a fatalclinical course. PML should be considered in the differential diagnosis if SLE patient presentswith new-onset focal neurological deficits, even during low-dose immunosuppressive therapy.Journal of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology 12(2):60-63, 2021"
