|
"Neuromyelitis optica (NMO) is a severe inflammatory demyelinating disorder typically characterized by attacks of recurrent optic neuritis and transverse myelitis. There were many cases that have notfulfilled definite NMO criteria but most of them fall under neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder(NMOSD). Brain lesions in NMO typically follow the distribution of aquaporin 4 expression. Our casealso only presents these typical brain abnormality.
