Abstract |
"Isolated meningismus is a rare presentation in both seropositive and seronegative neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder (NMOSD). Here, we present a case with recurrent fever and meningismus with anti-myelin oligodendrocyte glycoprotein (MOG) antibodies who did not precede to other demyelinating manifestations and showed excellent response to highdose steroid treatment. This case reinforces that isolated meningismus mimicking recurrent meningitis can occur as a direct clinical phenotype of MOG antibody disease rather than antecedent infection triggering further demyelinating attack.Journal of Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology 12(1):6-9, 2021" |
